This assay documents the moisturizing effect of a product for topical use ie on how the test product impacts on the degree of hydration of the superficial layers of the skin. The readout is the dielectric properties of the skin measured by using a Corneometer®.

The kinetics of the response is determined by measurements taken at times 0, 4, 8, and 24 hours
